On Saturday 1st June, we have Jerry Forde’s New Phoenix Jazz Band to play for us. Led by Jerry Forde on double bass, this band is well known to our audience, especially those who prefer their jazz more trad-orientated, as they play mainly great songs and tunes from the first half of the 20th Century. Accompanying Jerry will be Christine Adams (vocals), Phil Adams (banjo & guitar), Dick Lee and Martin Foster (reeds), Bill Jones (trombone), and Jack Wilson (drums). If you enjoyed the playing of Dick Lee and Martin Foster last month in the Classic Jazz Orchestra, then you are in for another treat!
Tickets (£12) are available in Far From the Madding Crowd, 20 High Street, Linlithgow and online at TicketSource.
As ever it’s at the Queen Margaret Hall, Blackness Road. Linlithgow. EH49 7JA and start at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7pm.
