Konrad Wiszniewski w/ the Sue McHugh Quartet – Saturday April 1st

Saturday 1st April sees the Linlithgow Jazz house band’s first outing of 2023.

Joining Sue McHugh on vocals will be our regular double bass and drums – Jimmy Taylor and Dave Swanson respectively – and we’re delighted to have secured Campbell Normand on piano for this gig. Sue has worked with Campbell for many years (including a few duo performances at Edinburgh Jazz Festivals) but is very much in demand at present so we’re very privileged to have him in the band.

And as if that wasn’t enough to fill all concerned with joy and anticipation, our very special guest this month will be the inimitable Konrad Wiszniewski on tenor sax. Konrad is arguably Scotland’s top tenor player with a range and versatility that have him working on many different projects and – like Campbell – it’s been a while since the stars have aligned and we’ve been able to have him at Linlithgow.

As always, the fun takes place in the Queen Margaret Hall and starts at 7:30pm (doors open at 7) and – for any newcomers – remember that we don’t have a bar so it’s BYOB – please feel free to bring your own drinks (and glasses) and nibbles.

Tickets are £12 and are on sale at Far From The Madding Crowd, 20 High Street, Linlithgow and online at Eventbrite.
