Following our annual February visit from our regulars Rose Room, we have a Linlithgow Jazz debut in March!
Winner of Scottish Jazz Best Vocalist in 2021, Marianne McGregor is a prominent new voice on the Scottish jazz scene and continues to gain recognition for her powerful voice, improvising and original songs. Taking inspiration from her great jazz influencers, Marianne has a tone comparable to the likes of Amy Winehouse, an Ella-like freedom towards improvisation and captures phrasing and emotion with the power of Billie Holiday.
Marianne will be backed by a superb band : Uri Stav on guitar, Laurie Moore on double bass, Greg Irons on drums and Josie Girgis on alto sax.
