In July, a treat for fans of film and vocal jazz.
Sue McHugh joins Iain Ewing to sing some songs from movies on Saturday 4th. Having enjoyed singing with each other at Linlithgow Jazz’s Christmas Party Festive Sextet nights, they’ve put a plan into action – a joint show, featuring some duets, as well as each performer singing some great songs individually, backed by a fabulous trio of Campbell Normand on piano, Mario CaribĂ© on double bass and Jim Drummond on drums.
Tickets are on sale at Far From The Madding Crowd, 20 High Street and online at TicketSource.
And a reminder that we are taking a break in August, so this will be our last gig until September.
As ever, the fun takes place in the Queen Margaret Hall (see the About section for details) and doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, running till around 10pm. Don’t forget the night is BYOB (and glasses, and snacks etc), so stock up, or give yourselves time to nip across the road to the supermarket! Tea/coffee is available at the interval.
