In a change to our regular programming, we’re happy to announce that on Saturday 6th September we have The Alan Laing Quartet playing for us.
Unfortunately John Russell’s Swing 2025 are no longer able to make that date, but we’re hoping to have them back with us next year when their schedules align.
However, Alan Laing is a more than worthy debut for this show – he recently wowed the crowd at Whighams Jazz Club and it was during our negotiations to book him for a slot in 2026 that we instead managed to bring his appearance forward to fit nicely into our autumn programming.
Alan is an excellent singer and performer who really knows his way around the Great American Songbook and loves to entertain his audience, meaning he’ll fit in nicely!

As ever the fun takes place in the Queen Margaret Hall (see the About section for details) and doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, running till around 10pm. Don’t forget the night is BYOB (and glasses, and snacks etc), so stock up, or give yourselves time to nip across the road to the supermarket! Tea/coffee is available at the interval.
