CHANGE OF VENUE! Blue Moon – Sue McHugh sings the songs of Rodgers & Hart, on Saturday 4th April

For our April show, something a little special put together by Linlithgow jazz host Sue McHugh – but please note the change of venue.

Now taking place at the Low Port Centre – just around the corner (details here) – Sue has selected four of her favourite musicians to accompany her in a night devoted to the timeless songs of Rodgers and Hart. As they wrote over 500 songs together, there is a lot of choice, but you can expect to hear such classics as ‘Where Or When’, ‘Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered’, ‘Manhattan’, ‘The Lady Ia A Tramp’, ‘My Funny Valentine’ and, of course, ‘Blue Moon’…

Joining Sue will be her usual collaborators – Colin Steele on trumpet, Campbell Normand on piano, Jimmy Taylor on bass and Dave Swanson on drums.

Quite a few tickets have already gone with the remainder now available from Far From The Madding Crowd Far From the Madding Crowd (20 High Street, Linlithgow) – please do support local business by buying your ticket there if you can.

For out-of-towners, tickets are also available from TicketSource.

The fun takes place in the Low Port Centre (EH497HZ), see the About section for details) and doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, running till around 10pm. Don’t forget the night is BYOB (and glasses, and snacks etc), so stock up, or give yourselves time to nip across the road to the supermarket! (And please, no spillages on the expensive carpet).

Low Port Centre: Opposite Tesco, go through the gates at the pedestrian crossing and walk down the pavement on the left where the entrance to the show will be signposted. It’s upstairs but there is a lift. More on the centre at www.lowportcentre.org
