Our first show of 2026 continues what has become a three-year-old tradition, with the Tenement Jazz Band kicking off the year. It always seems such a perfect start to another 12 months of quality entertainment and the guys in the band love it too – and have started their own tradition of having a pre-gig meal in Delhi’s Winter before the gig!
This follows a fine finish to 2025 on Saturday with our Festive Sextet night. Thank you all of you for entering into the Christmas spirit and making it a very enjoyable night for the band. And I’m sure you’ll all be delighted to hear that, on Sunday, our own Colin Steele won the prestigious Scottish Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year award. Well deserved but long overdue!

As ever, the fun takes place in the Queen Margaret Hall (see the About section for details) and doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, running till around 10pm. Don’t forget the night is BYOB (and glasses, and snacks etc), so stock up, or give yourselves time to nip across the road to the supermarket! Tea/coffee is available at the interval.
