Iain Ewing and The Chevaliers, Saturday 5th July

Following the gypsy swing of Rose Room in June, it’s time to change things around again with a much anticipated return visit from Iain Ewing and The Chevaliers.

Those of you who’ve heard Iain sing before know what you’re going to hear – classic songs from The Great American Songbook performed with effortless, relaxed charm. And those of you who haven’t heard him before are in for a treat!

Iain’s Chevaliers are four of the top musicians on Edinburgh’s thriving jazz scene – Campbell Norman on piano, Roy Percy on double bass, Jim Drummond on drums and Iain’s long time collaborator Colin Steele on trumpet.

The show is selling fast with the physical tickets available at Far From The Madding Crowd (20 High St, Linlithgow) and online tickets from Ticketsource.

As ever the fun takes place in the Queen Margaret Hall (see the About section for details) and doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, running till around 10pm. Don’t forget the night is BYOB (and glasses, and snacks etc), so stock up, or give yourselves time to nip across the road to the supermarket! Tea/coffee is available at the interval.

NB: Our August show – to avoid a clash with near neighbours Party in the Palace – will be on the second Saturday instead of the first. So, make a note in your diaries, for Sue McHugh plus Bill Marshall, on Saturday 9th August.
