From the more trad stylings of April’s guests the Renaissance Swing Band, the style changes a little in May – although still great tunes played by fabulous musicians, which, let’s face it, is what we try to provide every month!
Sue McHugh will be joined by the always entertaining Colin Steele on trumpet with Campbell Normand on piano, Jimmy Taylor on bass and Dave Swanson on drums. It’s already looking like a fun setlist which will feature songs that mention the sun, moon or stars. There are a lot of great songs to choose from – too many! – and you can expect a couple of surprises…
Quite a few tickets were sold at the April event and the rest (£13) are on sale in Far From The Madding Crowd, 20 High Street, Linlithgow and online at TicketSource.
As ever the fun takes place in the Queen Margaret Hall (see the About section for details) and doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start, running till around 10pm. Don’t forget the night is BYOB (and glasses, and snacks etc), so stock up, or give yourselves time to nip across the road to the supermarket! Tea/coffee is available at the interval.
