As we settle in to another 12 months of top-notch jazz we can look to the future and reveal that we have a few performers making their Linlithgow Jazz debuts in the first half of the year and the first of these is Bluebell Swing.
Hailing from Edinburgh, Bluebell Swing are a new(ish) band bursting with great verve and energy who have been playing to appreciative audiences for a couple of years, keeping the swing genre of the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s very much alive. Led by singer Maria Townsley, the band features Chris Campbell and Iain McNally on guitars, Matt Curtis on double bass and the brilliant Malcolm Strachan on trumpet.
Tickets (£13) are on sale in Far From The Madding Crowd, 20 High Street, Linlithgow and online at TicketSource
